KENYA – A family in Kisii is reeling from the heartbreaking news of the sudden death of Johnson Mose, a well-known resident of Crystal, Minnesota.
Mose, fondly known as Maigama, died on Sunday, November 9, following a tragic accident that has left friends, family, and the broader diaspora community in deep mourning.
In a post on Facebook, Edward Darwins Omari shared that Mose’s life was cut short just days after he proudly completed building his dream home in Kisii.

Born and raised in Nyamecheo, Ibeno in Nyaribari Chache, Kisii County, Mose had spent years working hard in the US to uplift his young family and support his loved ones back home.
Those who knew him say he embodied quiet strength, calm, peaceful, disciplined, traits that defined both his work and personal relationships.
Mose was best known within the community for his love of fitness and his commitment to helping people transform their health through weight-loss coaching.
Just a few months before his death, Mose had completed construction of a magnificent home in his village, a milestone he had waited years to achieve.
