According to Okudzeto Ablakwa, the three key figures involved in Akufo Addo’s daughter’s ambulance scandal fled Ghana just days before the December 7, 2024, elections.
Stephen Okoro, a business associate of Gyankroma and Edwina Akufo-Addo, left for the UK on November 27, 2024, using dual Nigerian and Ghanaian passports. He is linked to Elok Consult and Services Limited, a company involved in the scandal.
Frank Agyekum Boateng, a director of BEFT Engineering, departed for Washington on November 26, 2024, using a Ghanaian passport.
Vivian Oppong Kyekyeku, connected to Luxury World Auto Group Limited, fled to New York on August 31, 2024, using dual US and Ghanaian passports and has not returned.
These individuals are accused of benefiting from inflated ambulance contracts and unauthorized payments under the Finance Ministry.
Their departure raises suspicions of evading accountability. Calls for international collaboration to ensure their return and prosecution are mounting as Ghanaians demand justice.
The scandal involves dubious company registrations, unauthorized financial transactions, and alleged sweetheart deals, as documented by the Auditor-General.
