Kyeremasu ‘AB’ Gets First Public Toilet Since 20 Years Ago

Kyeremasu is a community close to Dormaa Ahenkro in the Dormaa East District in the Bono Region of Ghana.

A suburb in Kyeremasu called AB has today, 23rd March, 2021 gotten a public toilet facility as first of it kind since twenty (20) years the community requested for public toilet facilities from the Dormaa East Assembly.

At the opening ceremony, the DCE of Dormaa East, Honourable Emmanuel Kofi Agyemang and some chiefs of Kyeremasu community accessed the facility and officially opened it for public use.

According to the DCE, the facility was started twenty years ago with some few individual financial support until the assembly came in to champion it completion that is why it has been left since years.

He revealed that, the constructor failed to locate and position water supply closer to the facility initially and that also caused the delay.

He educated the people of Kyeremasu on how to use the facility and the water input system since the toilets are modern types, they should always apply flushing water so to keep the facility safety and hyieginic.

He said, since Covid-19 management protocols are enhancing, attendees should endeavour to wash their hands before and after visiting the toilets.

Speaking to the media, he assured the community to begin using the facility hence for three days for free afterwards, the facility attendant will begin taking fee for usage to the assembly.
