Former Ghana President, John Dramani Maham is mourning the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Reacting to news of the demise of the British Monarch, he said he has been saddened.
In addition to sending out his condolences to King Charles III and the Royal Family, ex-President John Dramani Mahama is praying that God grants Queen Elizabeth II a peaceful rest.
“Sad to hear the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. She carried her royal duties with grace, poise & dignity. An icon of pride not only to the British people but the Commonwealth. Our hearts go out to King Charles III and the Royal Family. May God grant her peaceful repose,” a statement by the former Ghanaian leader reads.
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II died on Thursday, September 8, after her health deteriorated.
She passed at age 96 after serving for over 70 years. She goes down in history as the longest-serving British Monarch.
