The maiden Boss awards which is to be held in November 2020 seeks to rank old student personalities, associations and schools based on respective contributions to old school projects in a competitive and sustainable manner.
Speaking at the official launch of the maiden Boss awards, the President of Moses Foundation Ghana, Mr.Nyaaba Aweeba Azongo, emphasize that during the launch of the Boss awards last year that they cannot guarantee a perfect starting point of the Two-Set Moses Awards Model but with your cooperation and support they could guarantee a progressive path to boost national solidarity and sustainable educational support in the country.
“It is our collective expectation that all stakeholders of national and educational sector leadership, particularly the old student’s fraternity, would embrace the Moses Boss Awards Scheme and cooperate fully to ensure the success of both the maiden and subsequent awards to cement a historic footprint in the country’s educational leadership landscape.
Mr. Azongo was optimistic that all stakeholders in the educational sector, and particularly the old student’s fraternity both within and across the globe, for this historic niche to harness the solidarity-inspiring and healthy competitive institution of old studentship to lead national cohesion towards contributing to educational delivery in our respective alma mater in a sustainable manner.
The old student’s institution is a global nation in terms of scope and resource jurisdiction. The old student’s institution, the signpost of National Identity and solidarity, has been a major development partner and pillar of support for schools over the years through individual old student’s personalities, related associations and year groups in response to critical needs of schools.
According to him, the absence of a Common Podium to mobilize, recognize and reward old student’s individual and collective support in a competitive manner both at the school and national levels has been a fundamental missing link towards bridging infrastructure deficits and other needs to encourage more support from the critical mass of the global old student’s constituency.
“It was in fulfilment of this mission that the Moses Foundation inaugurated a two-fold competitive awards scheme, The Best Old Student’s-School(BOSS) Awards-The BOSS AWARDS and the MOSES General Leadership-Legend(MGL-Legend) Awards, to recognize and reward not only student personalities contribution to schools, but schools and old student’s associations that demonstrate sterling leadership in attracting and mobilizing respective old student’s for educational support in their respective schools, general educational development and societal leadership” he lamented.
The MOSES BOSS AWARDS is the first of such initiative in the history of Ghana and sub-saharan Africa to set a legendary pace in recognizing not only old student’s contribution but also seeking to awaken the spirit of old student’s voluntarism to supporting the development of their respective old students.
