Premier League Manchester United football club are still very much in need of more signings to further strengthen their current squad under the management of Erik ten Hag.

Despite splashing the cash to sign several first-team players during the summer transfer window, Manchester United football club have endured a rather disappointing start to the new 2023/2024 season.

The Red Devils are currently occupying the 8th position on the Premier League table and have now been knocked out of the Carabao Cup after losing 3-0 to Newcastle United at the Old Trafford stadium on Wednesday evening.

Furthermore, Manchester United football club have conceded a total of 26 goals so far this season and as a result of this, the Red Devils have been linked with a move for Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa.

The 24-year-old Portugal International, who gained promotion to the Porto first-team squad back in 2019 has proven to be an important member of the first-team squad over the previous seasons.

The young shot-stopper was hugely involved for Porto during the 2022/2023 season where he made a total of 41 appearances in all competitions and helped his to 2nd position on the league table.

Diogo Costa has also been ever present for Porto football club so far this ongoing season, making 13 appearances and helping his side to 3rd position on the league table

His excellent performances between the sticks is believed to have caught the attention of Manchester United and according to latest reports from The Sun, the Red Devils are keen on signing him next year.

The reports further claimed that Manchester United football club are really interested in Diogo Costa and are planning a bid worth up to £65million to lure the goalkeeper away from Porto next year.

It is believed that Manchester United are preparing for the departure of Andre Onana to the African Cup of Nations in January and have identified Diogo Costa as a needed addition to their squad.
