WWE’s Mandy Rose sacked ‘for posting nudes online’ as officials put in ‘tough position’. WWE star Mandy Rose has been sacked by the wrestling company for “posting nudes online” after officials found themselves in a “tough position”.
Rose, 32, was NXT Champion up until 24 hours before being reportedly booted from the company for a series of nude pictures and video leaks on her FanTime page.
Officials with the company made the decision to release the 32-year-old champion as they felt she was “outside of the parameters of her WWE deal” according to one source.
“WWE officials felt they were put in a tough position based on the content she was posting on her FanTime page. They felt like it was outside of the parameters of her WWE deal,” reported Fightful Select.
She was scheduled to defend the belt at a New Years-themed show next year.
It appears the star will no longer have the chance to defend the belt, with the New Years Evil match between Rose and Roxanne Perez bumped up to yesterday’s taping.
Said shift in scheduling prompted speculation on Rose’s status with the WWE, and it appears such speculation was true, as the 32-year-old is now a free agent.
Rose has yet to comment specifically on her release from WWE, following a series of comings and goings for the brand in recent months.
Just recently, WWE legend William Regal was rumoured to be re-joining the company as rumours of his departure from AEW continue to grow.
Rose, who was NXT Champion for a total of 412 days, was active on Twitter just hours before news of her firing broke, thanking fans for their well wishes following the title loss.
Her million-strong following rallied around the 32-year-old, with one hoping the former NXT Champion heads to rival brand AEW.
