Match Report: Aduana Stars see off Hearts of Oak with a 1-0 win to kick off season

Hearts of Oak have suffered a narrow defeat to Aduana Stars in the opening weekend of the 2022/23 betPawa Ghana Premier League season.

The new league campaign has commenced this weekend with a lot of action and top games.

At the Nana Agyemang Badu Park today, Aduana Stars hosted Hearts of Oak. In a game that lived up to expectations, both teams put up a top performance in the first half but neither side could not get on the scoresheet.

Four minutes into the second half after recess, Aduana Stars poster boy Bright Adjei got his name on the score sheet to shoot the hosts into the lead.

Although Hearts of Oak would put up a fight in a bid to get back into the game, Aduana Stars proved too strong and denied the Phobians any chance of scoring.

Eventually, Aduana Stars held onto the lead to amass the three maximum points.

Hearts of Oak must now return to Accra to prepare for a top clash against Accra Great Olympics on matchday two of the league season.
