Ghana on Sunday afternoon had to settle for a 1-1 draw against the Central African Republic following some good display of defending from the home team.
Today’s match staged in Luanda, Angola is the second Group E match for both national teams seeking to book qualification to the 2023 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON tournament.
In the first game for Ghana last Wednesday, the Black Stars dominated play and defeated Madagascar 3-0 at the Cape Coast Stadium.
Although it will be more of the same in the game against the Central African Republic today, Ghana could not be clinical in front of goal.
The team only scored once through poster boy Mohammed Kudus in the 17th minute with all other chances failing to result in a goals.
Courtesy of a strike from Karl Namnganda in the 40th minute, the Central African Republic has managed to hold Ghana to a 1-1 stalemate at the end of the contest.
Despite dropping two points, the Black Stars remain top of Group E at the end of the second round of matches in the Group.
The other game between Madagascar and Angola ended in a 1-1 draw as well.
