LAGOS (NIGERIA) – A deeply disturbing video circulating captures the tragic moment a young Nigerian soldier was shot dead while on duty at a bank in Lagos.
According to reports accompanying the heartbreaking footage, the soldier was stationed at the entrance of the bank when a mentally challenged man attempted to force his way into the banking hall.
What began as a routine confrontation quickly escalated into a fatal encounter.
Eyewitnesses say the mentally unstable man resisted attempts to stop him from entering the banking hall.
In the ensuing struggle, he managed to overpower the soldier to snatch his rifle and within seconds, he fired a shot directly at the officer.
A graphic video from the scene shows the soldier lying motionless in a pool of blood with his head severely damaged from the close-range gunshot.
