At a inspirational engagement when the small scale miners across the country throw their weight to back H.E.Mahamudu Bawumia to ensure 100% votes from the mining communities to enable the NPP break the eight years syndrome.
The MINERS4BAWUMIA is now the official group of responsible miners who are committed to propagating the government’s good works in the mining sector and canvassing votes for Dr Bawumia in mining communities towards victory in 2024.
Speaking at the Miners4Bawumia inauguration, the deputy minister for Lands and Natural Resources Hon Mireku Duker has clearly indicated that small-scale mining shall not be banned. Still, instead, government will continue the regularization efforts and root out the recalcitrants on the water bodies.
“I will outlined some critical cutting-edge mining policies of Dr. Bawumia, such as the establishment of the Minerals Development Bank, the creation of more community mining schemes, the establishment of mineral processing units in mining districts, a pension scheme for miners and many others” he affirmed.
According to him, the Small-scale miners, Traditional Authorities, Government Officials and Party Leaders took their turn to reiterate his call that responsible small-scale mining shall not be banned but rather support measures to ensure that recalcitrant polluting various water bodies are put in check and forest reserves are being kept safely for generations unborn.
The Campaign Coordinator for Mining Communities/Sector of the NPP 2024 Campaign, indicated his readiness to join hands with all relevant stakeholders, to continue this vital engagement across all mining districts to ensure that the NDC is kept at their bay of propaganda, propagate the bold solutions of Dr Bawumia for the Mining Sector and help deliver votes in Mining Communities to the inevitable Bawumia Presidency as the next government of the 4th Republic of Ghana.
He thank personalities who came in their numbers to grace the occasion, some are Hon. Ernest Yaw Kumi, NPP PC Akwatia, Hon. Jeff Konadu, Eastern Regional NPP Chairman, Hon. Ama Sey, Hon. Seth Ofosu Birikorang, Akwatia DCE for their immense support towards the organization of this vital program. to Dr. Norris Hammar, MDF CEO, Hon. Patrick Saime, Fmr. MP, Amenfi-East, Hon. Benedict Addae, WR NPP Youth Organizer, Leadership of Responsible Small-Scale Miners (Philip Bawa, Daniel Kwaku Mensah and Mark Conduah), Ahafo Nkaseim Sompahene and all other mining groups and officials who made the launch a success.
“We need all hands on board to propagate the policies of Dr. Bawumia towards a resounding victory” he stressed.
Hon Duker repost confidence in small scale miners that the government has no intention to halt menace of mining in the country.
