“My Husband Abandoned Me And Our Kids For Helping My Sick Mum”
A young woman by the name of Maria has described how she was left to care for and support her ailing mother and her children after being abandoned by her husband and siblings.
One of her mother’s 10 daughters was Maria, who has the same name as her ill mother. Maria explained to Afrimax English that once her father passed away, it was up to her mother to support her and her siblings. Along the way, her mother had a critical illness, and they tried everything to cure her but to no effect.
She is utterly immobile due to her mother’s unidentified sickness, and she needs assistance getting about. She was unable to move independently and could not eat, stand, sit, or walk.
Along the way, Maria’s siblings moved out in quest of urban opportunities. They never returned, leaving Maria to take care of their ailing mother alone. Maria makes the difficult choice to remain and take care of their mother.
Later, she fell in love with a guy, and the two of them had four children. She said that her spouse had advised her to leave her mother behind and live with him so they could have a family.
Her spouse opposed her plea to invite her mother along. She made the decision to remain behind and assist her mother instead of leaving with her husband as a result. Maria was left to care for her four children and her 73-year-old ailing mother after her husband informed her he wouldn’t be responsible for their children if he left.
Maria has spent the previous 15 years moving her about, feeding her, and seeing to her needs, according to her mother.
Maria, however, admitted that it hasn’t been a simple situation because of the many obligations she has. She and her family also found it difficult to eat.
She vowed to continue caring for her mother, saying that she was willing to be at her side until the very end.
