Ashaiman: My son was a virgin, he had no girlfriend – Late Imoro Sherrif’s mother (Audio)
Imoro Sherrif’s mother has spoken for the first time since her son’s terrible death in Ashaiman, a suburb of Accra, at the hands of unidentified assailants.
The youthful and talented member of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) band from Sunyani in the Bono Region was discovered dead early on Saturday in Taifa, an Ashaiman neighborhood.
Sherif is his first child, and according to Madam Afia Kyerea, who spoke in an Angel FM, he was just 21 years old when Sherif was born and will turn 22 this coming June.
In the interview, she explained that her late son fell sick last Wednesday hence had sought permission from his superiors to come home to treat himself.
So she was expecting him to arrive home last Saturday but earlier that morning, one of Sherif’s friends had earlier come to their house to inquire about his friend.
Her repeated attempts to call him on the phone were fruitless, which disturbed her a lot.
Later, she got a call from Burma Camp, where she was shocked to hear that her son had passed away.
Later that day, some distinguished military officials paid her a home visit to talk about her cherished son’s death rites.
