Naira Marley to haters: “I Am Not A Cultist And I Didn’t Have A Hand In Mohbad’s Death.”
Head of Marlian Records and Nigerian artist Azeez Fashola, also known by his stage name Naira Marley, has denied accusations that he was responsible for the death of Mohbad, a previous signee.
When the late singer departed Marlians Records after Mohbad’s passing, several online users accused Naira Marley of pushing his friend Sam Larry and others to threaten and insult the man.
When older tapes of Sam Larry bullying and torturing Mohbad repeatedly before his death surfaced, the outrage increased.
As a result of the videos, Naira Marley and Sam Larry faced a barrage of criticism on social media from outraged Nigerians. It has also been claimed that Naira Marley harassed the decease singer.
Mohbad was buried in Ikorodu, Lagos, the day after he passed away on September 12th. Discussions and conspiracies have continued since the singer’s passing.
On Tuesday, the Marlian leader addressed the allegations by publishing a formal statement to his Instagram account. Following the demise of Mohbad, this is Naira Marley’s second formal proclamation.
Naira Marley made it clearly clear that neither he nor Mohbad ever requested that anyone bother or bully them.
Naira Marley continued by expressing his deepest sympathies to the relatives of the deceased and reiterating his determination to proving his innocence and cooperating with the authorities to produce sufficient evidence to clear his name.
The British-Nigerian artist refuted rumors that he functions as a narcotics cartel through his Marlian Records label.
Since the announcement of Mohbad’s passing, Naira Marley has been the subject of close investigation. The artist strongly denied any involvement, direct or indirect, in the unfortunate incident in an emotional statement that was made public.
He continued by claiming that unidentified people were trying to damage his reputation and raising the possibility that Mohbad’s demise was a part of a scheme to set him up.
