The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce sponsored a high-level U.S.-Ghana Executive Business Roundtable, and President John Dramani Mahama of Ghana made a symbolic appearance at the NASDAQ stock exchange in New York before the roundtable.
In order to promote Ghana’s investment potential, boost trade relations, and expand bilateral economic cooperation, the roundtable is expected to draw American investors and Ghanaian business executives.

Ghana’s dedication to establishing itself as a competitive investment destination was emphasised by President Mahama’s attendance at NASDAQ, which also demonstrated the continent’s emerging markets’ increasing significance to the global financial system.
Ghana is looking to use its position as host of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat to draw in long-term foreign direct investment at a time when U.S.-Africa economic cooperation is picking up steam.
The talks, which are intended to open up new avenues for private sector collaborations between the two nations, are anticipated to include business executives from the energy, financial, agricultural, and technology sectors.
