Everybody needs extra cash to sort themselves out. For national service persons, one may argue that they need a little bit more than extra cash in their pockets.
Currently, national service persons are paid an allowance of GH¢559 for their service to their country.

According to the Deputy Executive Director of the National Service Scheme Gifty Oware-Aboagye, that allowance will not be increased this year.
In an Instagram Live Session with Kuulpeeps.com, Miss Oware-Aboagye said the budget for this has been closed and service persons would continue receiving the budgeted GHS 559 allowance.
