Quite recently, a report indicated Mrs. Joyce Frimpong was arrested on Friday, April 3, 2020, at her Jacobu residence by a joint police and national security operatives upon intelligence reports received.
According to the report, “a Director of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) in the Amansie Central District of Ashanti Region has been arrested for allegedly producing and selling fake hand sanitisers”.
“And a search by the police led to the retrieval of containers filled with hand sanitisers and quantity of empty ones labelled ‘Adom’ Hand Sanitiser”.
“It is believed a large quantity of the product has hit the market, putting the lives of the Jacobu community at risk”.
Surprisingly, “a police source told the Ghanaian Times that some policemen bought some of the products from the suspect at Ghc 2.00, Ghc 5.00 and Ghc10.00 per container depending on the size”.
The above quotations are reference to what was broadcasted on the various media stations and platforms illustrating claims and allegations against Mrs. Joyce Frimpong who was then District Director of NCCE for Amansie Central District of Ashanti Region.
Fortunately, upon all the allegations against her, she did not lose hope in God Almighty as a dedicated christian.
According to her testimony on ‘Second Chance TV‘ with Mama Esther who anchored the interview, Mrs. Joyce Frimpong testified that during that time of her case, though she was a christian of a church, she spent all her time by attending to Bileivers Worship Centre’s branch at Obuase for praying and worshiping her Living God.
She narrated that, though she went through thorough disciplines of her work, thus, NCCE, God Almighty did not forsake her because her motive behind the production of the product ‘Adom sanitizers’ was not to make wealth or pocket money, she did the product in consultation with an information officer of NCCE of the district to fulfil the needs of her people in the district according to the education on Covid-19 management protocols.
By The Lord’s Grace, she was vindicated, elevated and transferred to Western North Region as an Acting Deputy Regional Director of NCCE.
Indeed, by His Grace, she is the current acting deputy regional director of NCCE for Western North Region.
To climax her testimony, she said, God Almighty in His will, has promoted her from district director to regional level through her alleged sanitizer issue and she is comfortable and happy about all what happened. With God, All Things Are Possible! Glory be to His Name. Amen.
