The country’s legislative body The E-levy controversy was not left out of the several talks as Parliament reconvened today.
Some members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) were dissatisfied with the minority leader’s decision to refer the case to the Supreme Court on the floor of parliament.
Kweku Annan, the presenter of Net 2 TV’s Seat Show, has disclosed some facts regarding how certain high-profile NDC Members of Parliament worked behind the scenes to accept bribes in exchange for the e-levy bill’s passing.
Kweku Annan on The Seat show called on the Members of parliament who took the bribe to come out and confess the bribes they took to pass support the passage of the E-levy, boldly naming the Speaker and the minority leadership in that list.
Kweku Annan said;
“I am asking the leadership of the minority in Parliament how much did they get for the e-levy to be passed. What was the money for? Have you informed your members about the money you took?”
