The Kintampo South constituency NDC today welcomed Hon. Kwadwo Nyame Datiakwa back to the party with great excitement.

Hon. Kwadwo Nyame Datiakwa was the DCE for the Kintampo South District between 2008 and 2015. He unsuccessfully contested the parliamentary primaries with Hon. Felicia Adjei twice in 2016 and 2020. Following some unresolved grievances, he left the NDC and contested as an independent candidate.

However, in a rather exciting turn of events, Hon. Kwadwo Nyame Datiakwa today joined the party at a heath walk to announce his return to the NDC and his readiness to campaign vigorously to ensure that Hon. Felicia Adjei returns to parliament.

After announcing his return, the former DCE proceeded to advocate strongly on the need for the NDC to unite in the constituency in order to be able to retrieve our seat from the NPP. He promised his unflinching support for the current Parliamentary Candidate, Hon. Felicia Adjei, while assuring that, all the skirmishes that led to his break-away must be pushed behind.

Hon. Felicia Adjei, on her part, expressed her excitement over the return of her brother Hon. Kwadwo Nyame Datiakwa to the NDC. She promised to work closely with the former DCE to ensure that the ultimate goal of winning the seat as well as the presidential election is achieved.

The Bono East Regional Chairman of the NDC, Mr. Unas Owusu, speaking at the event, conveyed the party’s pleasure to the former DCE and promised him the party’s full support.

He encouraged the two, Hon. Felicia Adjei and Hon. Kwadwo Nyame Datiakwa to co-operate to win the seat back for NDC. Emphasising the significance of the Kintampo South seat to NDC, he charged the NDC in the constituency to win the seat at all cost to glorify our mother, Her Excellency Lordina Mahama who hails from the constituency.
