A Nigerian woman living in Canada has been found dead in her home, a development that has shocked her family, friends, and members of the Nigerian community abroad.
The deceased, Victoria Kemi Adedoyin, aged 33, relocated to Canada in July 2022 and was a highly accomplished executive working with a multinational company. She was described by those who knew her as dedicated, hardworking, and ambitious.
According to reports, Adedoyin attended church on Sunday, January 18, 2026, and went to work the following day, Monday, January 19.

After returning home later that day, she was scheduled to join an online meeting with senior executives of her company.
Concern was raised when she failed to log into the meeting and could not be reached through phone calls or messages.
Alarmed by her sudden silence, her colleagues contacted the police to request a welfare check.
Police officers later forced entry into her residence, where they discovered her lifeless body.
As of the time of this report, the cause of death has not been officially disclosed, and authorities have not released further details surrounding the circumstances of her passing. Investigations are believed to be ongoing.
