The Dormaamanhene, Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Dr. Agyemang Badu II, has presided over the 10th Congregation Ceremony of the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR), held at the Bank of Ghana Auditorium in Sunyani.

The ceremony attracted several high-ranking personalities, including the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboah, Esq., Hon. Seid Mubarak, as well as traditional authorities, public officials, and members of the academic community.

As Chairman of the University’s Governing Council, Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Dr. Agyemang Badu II used the occasion to reaffirm his long-standing commitment to education and human capital development. He announced a personal donation of One Million Ghana Cedis (GH¢1 million) to support the university’s expansion, research, and academic progress.

In a further demonstration of support for excellence, the Dormaamanhene presented a brand-new saloon car to the Overall Best Student, awarded under the Prof. J.E.A. Mills Award. The award, named in honor of the late former President H.E. Prof. John Evans Atta Mills, recognizes outstanding academic performance and discipline.

Osagyefo emphasized that the initiative forms part of his broader vision to promote quality education and leadership development, pledging to sustain the award scheme for the rest of his lifetime.

The event highlighted the growing collaboration between traditional leadership and higher education institutions in advancing national development through education and innovation.
