PARLIAMENT, ACEPA, AND PARLIAMENTARY CENTRE HOST DIALOGUE ON GENDER RESPONSIVE LAWMAKING
The Parliament of Ghana, in partnership with the African Centre for Parliamentary Affairs (ACEPA) and the Parliamentary Centre, has held a dialogue focused on gender-responsive lawmaking and stronger engagement between CSOs and citizens.
Held under the theme βParliament, CSO, Citizen Collaboration on Gender Responsive Lawmaking: Experiences and Pathways from Ghana, Kenya, and Togo,β the event highlighted the need for inclusive legislative processes.
Deputy Minority Leader, Hon Patricia Appiagyei said the Inclusive Legislatures for Gender Responsive Policies (ILGRP) initiative will strengthen collaboration between MPs and civil society groups in health, education, social protection and womenβs economic empowerment.
Deputy Clerk, Mr Camillo Pwamang added that gender-responsive lawmaking will enhance citizen participation and advance womenβs leadership in Parliament.
