Nigerians have taken notice of a pastor in Lagos state who declared that his church will no longer be collecting offerings.

The pastor was seen in a widely shared video informing his congregation that due to the current state of affairs in the nation, offerings would no longer be accepted. He said it would be unjust to take offerings from people now that they are spending more money on gas and transportation.

He declared that his church would not take offerings from its members until the price of gasoline was lowered. All pastors were urged by him to cease gathering offerings from their flock.
