Earlier today, Pragya riders marched to the Municipal Assembly premises to engage the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Mathew Ayeh, on the new directive regulating their operations.
The MCE opened the floor for the riders to freely express their concerns and grievances. He received their views in good faith and encouraged them to comply with the new directive, which officially takes effect on Monday, 1st December 2025.
Hon. Ayeh assured the riders that the directive is not a permanent ban, but a traffic management measure that will be reviewed regularly. He further announced that he will be meeting with the riders every Friday to assess the impact and consider possible adjustments.
The Municipal Police Commander also addressed the riders, advising them to adhere to the rules and cooperate with the Assembly to ensure safety and order in the municipality.
The Assembly remains committed to continuous dialogue and collaborative solutions for the benefit of all stakeholders.
