President John Dramani Mahama has arrived in Nairobi, Kenya, on an official state visit at the request of His Excellency William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya.
He arrived at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport around midnight, when he was greeted by Kenya’s Prime Cabinet Secretary, H.E. Musalia Mudavadi, and other top government officials. President Mahama shared greetings with the welcoming delegation.
President Mahama is slated to be the Guest of Honour at Kenya’s Jamhuri Day celebrations, which commemorate the country’s independence and highlight its rich cultural history.

Following the celebrations, President Ruto will host him to a luncheon.
Mr. Stanislav Xoese Dogbe, Deputy Chief of Staff in charge of Operations, and Dr. Callistus Mahama, the President’s Executive Secretary, joined him.
On Saturday, President Mahama is expected to leave Kenya.
