Price of pure water increased to 40 pesewas, effective December 27

Price of pure water increased to 40 pesewas.

The National Association of Sachet and Packaged Water Producers (NASPAWAPNational )’s Executive Committee (NEC) has encouraged all of its members to boost their product pricing.
Sachet water will be sold for 40pesewas, according to a press statement issued by the Association’s National President, Magnus Nunoo, while 500ml bottled water, which was previously sold for GHC1.00, would now be sold for GHC1.50.

On Monday, December 27, 2021, the new pricing will take effect.

“The 500ml bottled water should be sold for GHC1.50, while the 750ml or medium size bottled water should be offered for GHC2.00.” According to sections of the announcement, “the 1.5L or big bottled water would be offered for GHS3.50.”

“Iced sachet water will be retailed at 40peswas,” according to the Association.
A bag of sachet water, 500ml by 30 pieces, will henceforth be offered for GHC4.50 from retail trucks. Minimarkets will henceforth charge a minimum of GHC6 for a bag of sachets.”

They noted that increased input expenses such as petrol, vehicle replacement parts, and packaging materials, all of which are mostly imported, justified the price hike.
