Former musician and social commentator, Kwame Asare Obeng, also known as A Plus, has advised the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government to sack Minister for Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutsum.
According to the outspoken social commentator, the Akufo Addo-led NPP government needs to show the Education minister the exit, and make him the deputy minister of Religious Affairs, if they [NPP] wants to “break the 8” in 2024.
A Plus believes the minister has failed woefully as far as handling of the country’s education sector is concerned.
His comment comes at the back of dumping of the new semester-based academic calendar, for the usual trimester-based system that public schools in the country have been using for decades.
“If you really want to break the 8, please sack this gentleman and make him deputy minister for religious affairs. He is a fine gentleman; I like him, but he is the worse minister at the moment. Kindly save him the embarrassment by sacking him immediately…,” A Plus wrote in a facebook post.
