A Lot Of People Injured After Police Force Opened Fire On Arise Ghana Protesters
After several reports of police beatings and rubber bullets during the Arise Ghana rally went viral, the police claim that 12 of their personnel had suffered different injuries as a result of the protest.
Arise Ghana Group, a group made up of members of the National Democratic Congress, social justice organizations, concerned Ghanaians, and jobless young among others, has announced that they would hold a two-day protest against the country’s sufferings on June 28 and 29, 2022. What they expect to accomplish after demonstrating their demands to the Akufo-Addo administration is one thing they haven’t spoken much about.
The Ghana Police Service claims that the injuries were caused by protester violence on Tuesday. Parts of the announcement indicated that “unfortunately, completely without any provocation, the protestors started throwing stones at the police.”
Additionally, according to sources, more than 30 protestors have been hospitalized as a result of the use of tear gas in the region since the mob disobeyed police orders.
