The Mazzotti family, one of the wealthiest and most influential in South Africa, has managed to keep their enterprises and opulent lifestyle hidden. We have, however, snuck into one of the wealthiest households in Mzansi among the confusion.

The family is in style after social media was filled with photos from their extravagant wedding in Ibiza. Numerous famous people were invited, and it was conducted in the Italian style. Among the noteworthy visitors were Julius Malema, the president of the EFF, and his wife. The Major League DJz and Grammy-winning DJ Black Coffee were also present.

They have, indeed, had their fair share of controversy. They’ve been passed off as the Italian Mafia, and it’s also said that they’re active in the black market for cigarettes. He has had some of his assets taken by SARS in the recent past.

Adriano Mazzotti rose to prominence as one of the most notorious figures in the world of illegal cigarette trafficking a few years ago. He previously allegedly had ties to Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma and her aspirations for political office. She vehemently denied having any connection to the drug lord, however.

After paying a whopping R200 000 for the EFF’s registration in 2013, Mzansi was exposed to the Mazzotti. The next year, Kyle Phillips, one of Carnilinx’s executive directors, gave Malema a tidy R1 million “advance” to assist him resolve his tax problems. But according to rumors, Mazzotti’s home in Hyde Park also housed Julius’ wife Mantwa. The family’s financial wealth has been included into the mix of factors.

Net Worth

Despite all daring rumours against them, the family hasn’t been charged or brought before law courts for any wrongdoing. According to Malema, their money is clean. Unconfirmed reports show that as of 2022, they have an estimated net worth of R990 million. However, some sources have it that they have since passed the billion mark.
