The verification of selected schools before the placement exercise is NOT to change schools but to confirm the initial choices selected – PRO, Ahafo Regional Education Directorate

The Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has informed students,
staff, parents/guardians, and stakeholders that this year’s School Placement exercise begins with the verification of students’ school choices before the computerized School Selection and placement are done.

Speaking in an interview with Mr.Yaw Frimpong, the Public Relations Officer of the Ahafo Regional Education directorate on our Morning Show dubbed High Morning Breeze chaired by Kwaku Mensah Abrampa, he explained that the verification process initiated by the Ghana Education Service is to ensure accuracy in students’ choice information before they are placed in their selected second cycle schools.

He emphasized that this exercise is not to change or reverse the initial choices of schools but to confirm them to avert blame on the computerized school Selection placement system secretariat.

Mr. Yaw Frimpong Added that students, parents/guardians will receive an SMS message from the CSSPS which contains a web portal: https://csspsverify.com and USSD short code number  *899*88# with a 4digit token number.

He added that Students who may have errors in their initial selection should call 0556541525 or click on the edit button available on the web portal after their selection details are displayed with a copy of the original selection form adding that Students can also send an email with the copy of the original selection form to [email protected].

• Visit https://csspsverify.com
• Enter your index number
• Enter SMS token sent you to see your selections.
• Changes can be made from your school administrator

• Dial *899*88#
• Select option 2 ‘View chioce file’
• Provide student index number
• Re-index number
• Enter token sent to you to see your selection.
• Changes can be made from your school administrator.

Parents are to follow steps to make sure that the right schools are being selected for their wards.
