Serving Ghana’s Interest Is Not Suppressing Press Freedom – Gombilla Jabs Freddie Blay
The recent statement of Freddie Blay who happens to be the chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) that Akufo Addo is serving Ghana’s interest irrespective of ugly noises is an affront insult on the intelligence of every well meaning Ghanaian.
It is high time the wigs of the ruling NPP government respect the views of Ghanaians as they represent the true state of the economy.
Before NPP took over government in 2016, they openly presented themselves as the solutions to Ghana’s problems and disdained every effort of the erstwhile JM led government.
Today, they look Ghanaians in they face and describe their constructive criticism on government as ugly noise.
It is now crystal clear that the NPP and Akufo-Addo lead government is plethora of selfish individuals who never meant their mirage mantra of protecting the public purse and seeking the interest of the ordinary Ghanaian.
Power, they say corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Now they have the power, they irresponsibly meet every opposing view and criticism of their abysmal governance with the highest spell intolerance and arrogance.
If serving Ghana’s interest is to force a 59 year old head of a government Institution to go on voluntary retirement only to hypocritically end up appointing a 77 year old to head another Government institution, then the devil can serve Ghana’s interest far better than AkufoAddo.
Friends don’t let us be deceived into believing that this government is working for the collective interest of this country. For them to describe our grievances as ugly noises should better inform us of their primitive egocentric motives of milking our resources.
Mr. Freddie Blay should be informed that serving the Interest of the Nation is not suppressing press freedom. If he cares to know, Akufo-Addo is far from serving in Ghana’s interest, he is only serving in the interest of the tradition( Danquah/Busia) whose hall mark is the machination of bombs and impeding of Ghana’s development.
Ghana’s interest can’t be served on the altar of Tribal Discrimination, killings of government critics, Military Intimidation of your unarmed demonstrators and the reckless borrowing to enrich some few people. Enough is Enough!
Every Ghanaian Youth must arise for this country for this nation demands for our devotion to better governance that ignites hope.
