Good morning, comrades, members of the media, and the vigilant citizens of this Republic,
We are gathered here today not to appeal — but to alert. Not to whisper — but to shout with
righteous anger. Ghana has had enough of political parasites like Simon Dogedoung, and we in
the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem constituency are done tolerating his decades-long reign of corruption, sabotage, and partisan exploitation of public institutions.
Simon Dogedoung, the so-called Principal of Ankaful Nurses Training College, is not just unfit
for public service — he is a threat to democracy and accountability.
Let the facts be made public:
In 2024, Simon Dogedoung personally sponsored the production of over 1,000 NPP
T-shirts and mobilized resources to support the NPP campaign against Hon. Samuel Atta
Mills.
He has attended secret NPP strategy meetings and openly works to undermine NDC structures on campus.
Dogedoung blocked every TEIN activity in the lead-up to the 2024 election. He has denied students their constitutional right to association, free speech, and political
participation.
He allowed the NPP-aligned NGO, “Who Does Not Want Help”, to operate from within
the college.
This NGO, with Dr. Ato Arthur as its patron, was used to deceive and
politically manipulate vulnerable nursing students.
Under his tenure, the college has witnessed rampant procurement breaches, bloated
contracts, and systemic embezzlement.
Ankaful is bleeding money while Dogedoung lives large off public funds — untouched
and unchecked.
Let the public be reminded:
In 2018, Simon Dogedoung was the subject of an active EOCO investigation in the Central
Region, following a series of explosive corruption scandals that shook the nursing college
system. The scale of his abuse reached national attention.
But instead of justice, he was rescued by his political godfathers in the Ministry of Health
— top-level NPP officials who shielded him from prosecution and buried the case.
This is a
man who should have been jailed, not left in charge of public funds and young people’s futures.
Two TEIN Patrons were maliciously transferred out of the region under his influence.
He has blocked every single program planned by NDC constituency executives and
turned the school into an anti-NDC zone.
For over 20 years, he has held this position without transfer. Why?
89% of tutors are his former students — many in post for over 15 years — building a
closed, cult-like system where loyalty to Dogedoung and the NPP is the only ticket to
survival.
Admission into the college is now a business venture. NPP assemblymen are openly collecting GHS 4,000 per slot, with priority given to NPP-aligned families.
This is not favoritism. It is a criminal syndicate operating under state cover.
We will not tolerate this betrayal any longer. Therefore:
We demand the immediate transfer of Mr. Simon Dogedoung from Ankaful Nurses
Training College. Not a reassignment to the same facility. A full removal and posting
to a remote health district — preferably in the North.
We demand that the Ministry of Health dispatch a forensic audit team from Accra
to conduct a full investigation into college funds, procurement records, and staffing
practices.
We call on EOCO to reopen the 2018 file on Simon Dogedoung and resume full investigations into his network of corruption.
We call on CHRAJ to begin investigations into human rights abuses, of students
victimization, and political discrimination on campus.
Hon. Samuel Atta Mills, the National Youth Organizer, and the NDC leadership: this is a
moment of truth.
If we cannot remove a known NPP agent embedded within our constituency,
suppressing our youth, stealing state funds, and undermining your own MP — then what
message are we sending to our base?
If Dogedoung is still at post by next month, let it be known that we, the youth, will take matters
into our own hands through lawful mass action.
We are not afraid.
We are not backing down.
This man is a disgrace to public service, and his time is up.
Signed,
NDC Youth and TEIN – KEEA
