TEIN-KNUST backs Mahama over ‘do or die’ comments
TEIN-KNUST endorses Mahama’s “do or die” comments. The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) branch of the student wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). The Tertiary Educational Institutions Network (TEIN), says many have misconstrued the recent statement made by former President John Dramani Mahama.
According to TEIN-KNUST, the former president is a peacemaker and under his administration, the country enjoyed peaceful elections in 2012 and 2016.
“It thus comes as a surprise that so many people have misconceived the message of President Mahama, a man of integrity, goodwill and much humility,” a statement jointly signed by President Theophilus Berchie said.
“Clearly, the overly done scrutiny of the Ex-President’s words is simply an attempt to put him in the bad light of the public. And a clear message that some unseen forces are cowed by the might and power that his words have stirred in Ghanaians.”
“We wish to send a message of goodwill and solidarity to His Excellency, urging him to continue in his advocacy. And assuring him that we as students and members of TEIN are solidly behind him.”
