The Leadership of the Committee on Finance has been asked to evaluate the Contract Agreement for the construction of the Accra–Kumasi Motorway by the Committee on Roads & Transportation, which is chaired by Hon. Mensah Adjei.

It is anticipated that the proposed motorway will drastically cut travel times and expenses, open up job prospects, and bring in money for the state through monetisation.

Hon. Kwame Governs Agbodza, the Minister for Roads and Highways, emphasised the significance of road infrastructure development for the country and voiced his strong support for the initiative.

Furthermore, the project is anticipated to be finished in three years and would get full government funding under the Big Push Infrastructure Program, according to Hon. Cassiel Ato Forson, Minister of Finance.
