The government’s 2026 Budget Statement and Economic Policy will be presented to Parliament on Thursday, November 13, by Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson.

During the presentation of the Business Statement for the fourth week ending Friday, November 14, 2025, Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga made the announcement.

He clarified that the presentation will be in accordance with Article 179 of the Constitution, which requires the Minister of Finance to disclose the government’s financial plans for the upcoming year to Parliament.

The government’s priorities and spending plans for the year ending December 31, 2026, including initiatives to promote economic growth and stability, are anticipated to be outlined in the 2026 budget.

Additionally, Mr. Ayariga informed the House that the Business Committee has noted a number of issues that are still pending before several committees. He stated that 23 committees have received 300 referrals thus far for review and reporting.

Additionally, next week, five ministers are scheduled to come before Parliament to respond to 28 questions submitted by lawmakers.
