The two Muslims who were among the eight people killed in this week’s tragic helicopter crash, Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed Murtala and Alhaji Muniru Limuna Mohammed, will be buried tomorrow at the Military Cemetery following Muslim Jannaza prayers at the State House Forecourt, according to a government announcement.

This morning, I went to the military cemetery to see my dad’s final resting place for the first time since he was buried in March of this year, and I just so happened to stumble onto the preparation of the burial places for the two deceased.

Despite our efforts to console their families, may the spirits of the deceased find eternal rest.
