The Ahafo Regional Director of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) Mr. Eric Adu has blamed the increasing rate of the recent recalcitrance and ungovernable acts by students on peer groups and social media influence stating that it is highly affecting the moral values of our wards in school and on the street.

He made this known in the wake of the initial punishments issued to the 8 girls at Chiana Senior High School for publicly speaking against president Akufo Addo in November last year.
Mr. Eric Adu speaking on these happenings in our school and on social media space indicated that parents cannot be solely blamed for the woes of these young ones but a greater portion of it must be linked to peer pressure which is greatly affecting the innocent children in the school.
Mr. Eric Adu Speaking in an interview with Kwaku Mensah Abrampa of High Radio, argued that most parents always try as much as possible to maintain discipline in the conduct of their children while in the house but these children after stepping out with different companies start to pick up the negative lifestyle of their friends which always ends in indiscipline which potentially affects them.
He finally urged parents to always put into consideration the welfare of their children by providing them with the needed advice and counseling to prevent them from walking in the shoes of bad companies.
He finally urged Ghanaians to desist from the continuous call for military rulers to safeguard the country from poor governance denoting that an autocratic style of leadership is very risky hence those calling for such must put a stop to that and decide on how to work on the 1992 constitution to serve its mandate and purpose as expected.
He explained that the 30 years of an effective democratic constitution have done more good for the country than harm hence the positives of the country’s democracy must be honored as the leaders plan on how to fix the errors in the constitution to serve its objectives.
