The release of Nana Agradaa is scheduled for March

Richard Asare Baffour, the attorney for televangelist Nana Agradaa (Patricia Asiedua), has revealed that she will be released from prison on March 3, 2026, after a recent court decision that lowered her custodial term.

According to Baffour, the Amasaman High Court deemed the initial punishment to be harsh and downgraded Agradaa’s 15-year sentence to a 12-month term.

He went on to explain Ghana’s remission system, stating, “When you are handed down a prison term, there’s a remission scheme. If you earn it, the term is divided into three. So, the state will take one-third, and she takes two-thirds of it.”

In other words, Agradaa may be released after completing about eight months of her twelve-month suspension.

Baffour verified that, based on her initial conviction in July 2025, Agradaa has already completed around seven months of the current sentence. “So, she should be out by March 3rd,” he stated on Starr FM.

Although she welcomed the reduction, the attorney voiced concerns about the trial, pointing out procedural errors that even if the initial sentence had been somewhat different, her legal team would have contested.

In July 2025, Agradaa was first found guilty of deceiving by false pretence and charlatanic advertising.

Through her ministry, she was discovered to have run a money-doubling racket, deceiving the public with fictitious cash claims.

Although the conviction was maintained, earlier in February 2026, the Amasaman High Court lowered her jail term.
