As part of an effort to strengthen government ties with important agro-processing companies, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, Minister for Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry, and Hon. Sampson Ahi, Deputy Minister, visited Blue Skies Fruit Juice Company on Friday, February 13, 2026.
Value addition, employment creation, and export development are all aspects of the government’s industrialisation plan that Blue Skies’ operations may further align with. The visit was intended to provide the Minister and her staff with firsthand knowledge of the company’s operations.

Blue Skies Ghana’s Head of Communications, Mr. Alistair Djimatey, welcomed the team and gave the Minister an update on the company’s development and activities. He explained that Blue Skies Ghana, founded in 1997 by Mr. Anthony Pile, is a prominent fruit processing company with its headquarters located in Dobro, close to Nsawam.
According to Mr. Djimatey, the company is well-known for its “Adding Value at Source” philosophy, which emphasises local fruit processing in Ghana as opposed to shipping raw fruits for processing overseas.
He went on to highlight the variety of fruits the business processes and the export markets it serves, adding that Blue Skies still makes a substantial contribution to Ghana’s agro-processing value chain.

He said that Blue Skies Ghana has won numerous distinguished honours over the years for its superior fruit processing, high standards of quality, and dedication to value addition at the source.
After the briefing, the Minister and her team had a tour of the facility to see the several manufacturing processes, such as handling, processing, and packing.
Later, the Minister spoke with employees on the production floor and expressed gratitude for their commitment to and role in the expansion of Ghana’s manufacturing and agro-processing industry.
Hon. Ofosu-Adjare also went to the company’s farm in the Eastern Region as part of the working visit in order to obtain a more comprehensive understanding of its sourcing and supply chain procedures.
The Minister also used the occasion to tour Nyonkodor Farms, an agricultural business established in Ghana that supplies, exports, and wholesales food and beverage items as well as agricultural produce.
The government’s commitment to promoting value addition to agricultural products was reaffirmed by Hon. Ofosu-Adjare, who also emphasised that agro-processing continues to be a crucial component of the nation’s industrial transformation program and export-led growth strategy.
