The Ghanaian social media community has been thrown into mourning following the tragic death of popular TikToker and soldier Mando, known online as Whizper.
Mando, who gained fame on TikTok for sharing inspiring and entertaining videos about his life as a soldier, reportedly passed away on October 20, 2025, under circumstances yet to be made public.
Before his untimely death, Mando had built a strong following on TikTok, where he often shared snippets of his military service and peacekeeping missions across the world.
His content showcased his travels to places such as Lebanon, Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), and other international peacekeeping destinations, earning him admiration for his discipline, patriotism, and charisma.
News of his passing was first announced by fellow TikToker Asabea Goddina, who expressed deep shock and grief in a heartbreaking post. According to her, she had spoken to Mando just a day before his reported death.

“I’m never tired of you, I never got tired of praying with you. Just yesterday we spoke ooo, what happened?? @Whizper? of all the promises you made to me, there was nothing like death as part so what happened??” she wrote.
Her emotional tribute has quickly went viral and prompted an outpouring of condolences from Mando’s fans, friends, and colleagues both on and off social media.
Several members of the Ghana Armed Forces also confirmed the sad news, sharing tributes that celebrated Mando’s service, dedication, and positive influence within the military and online communities.
As of now, details surrounding the cause of his death remain unclear, but tributes continue to flood social media as many describe him as a “vibrant, kind-hearted, and patriotic young man” who used his platform to inspire others.
