The Tema Oil Refinery’s management has formally acquired and transferred a fleet of automobiles to greatly improve and fortify the refinery’s operational effectiveness.

Eight (8) brand-new Mitsubishi cars, three (3) Toyota Coaster buses, two (2) industrial forklifts, and other necessary operational vehicles to support daily operations across the refinery make up the fleet.

The organisation has long faced significant logistical challenges, therefore this logistical intervention comes at a crucial time.

The last time the refinery received such significant management logistical help was in 2013, and the protracted lack of sufficient operational logistics had a negative impact on output and hindered overall development.

The fleet was formally commissioned by Board Chairman Nayon Bilijo, who also gave the go-ahead for its immediate deployment for both official and operational usage.

These vehicles were purchased in 2025 by the new management using funds generated within the refinery, just as all other projects were funded by the company’s Internally Generated Funds (IGF).

The management expressed its sincere gratitude to the Minister of Energy and Green Transition, John Jinapor, and President of the Republic, John Dramani Mahama, for their consistent support, strategic guidance, and dedication to the refinery from its founding to the present.

The management also expresses its sincere gratitude to the entire staff for their tenacity, commitment, and unwavering support from the beginning to the conclusion.
