Two men arrested for raping a 14-year-old girl in front her
The High Court in Thohoyandou has sentenced Nyandano Mudulahothe (29) to 17 life imprisonments and Peter Mugovha (33) to 3 life sentences, and they will also serve more than 400 years in jail combined.
These men were found guilty of many serious crimes like rape, robbery, kidnapping, assault, and breaking into people’s homes.
They started their criminal acts in 2011 and continued for many years, using guns to terrorize people in the Thohoyandou policing precinct. The criminals would break into homes, brutally assault the victims, and then rape and rob them.
The court heard how the accused raped a total of 26 victims, some as young as 12 and as old as 30. During the assaults, they humiliated and tortured their victims.
In one terrible incident that took place in 2015, the men broke into a house at night and took two sisters, ages 4 and 14, from their bedroom to their parents’ room.
The criminals then brutally attacked the parents and forced the father to have s3× with his wife in front of their children. After that, they took turns raping the 14-year-old girl in front of her family before stealing their cellphones and money.
