Renowned Ghanaian businessman and founder of Quick Angels, Richard Nii Armah Quaye, has found himself at the centre of controversy as his claims of purchasing a private jet have been challenged by cybersecurity expert Gideon Aduku.

On March 14, 2025, Nii Armah Quaye shared photos and videos of himself supposedly boarding his newly acquired Gulfstream 200 private jet.

The photos which were first uploaded on his official Instagram page, quickly gained traction and have since amassed over 31,000 likes and over 500 comments from admirers and well-wishers.

A day later, on March 15, 2025, he appeared in an exclusive interview with media personality Bola Ray, where he reaffirmed his purchase of the aircraft.

During the conversation, Quaye excitedly spoke about how he looked forward to flying his mother in the private jet and reflected on how a lecturer’s prophecy about his future success motivated him to make the purchase.

While Nii Armah Quaye is receiving congratulatory messages and gearing up for his 40th birthday celebrations, cybersecurity expert Gideon Aduku has raised serious doubts about the legitimacy of his claims.

In a Facebook post, Aduku emphatically that the Gulfstream 200 in question is not owned by any Ghanaian but is registered under “N710RH” to LION AVIATION GROUP in the United States.

Aduku further backed his claims with flight tracking data from FlightRadar24, detailing the movement of the aircraft before it landed in Accra:

On March 11, 2025, it departed from West Palm Beach (PBI) to Bridgetown (BGI).

On March 12, 2025, it left Bridgetown (BGI) for Espargos (SID).

On March 13, 2025, it departed from Espargos (SID) to Accra (ACC) and has remained on the ground since.

According to Gideon Aduku, there is no record of Nii Armah Quaye purchasing the aircraft, suggesting it may have been rented rather than owned outright.

The Gulfstream G200 (formerly known as the IAI Galaxy) is a super-midsize business jet designed for long-range travel.

It was originally developed by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) in collaboration with Gulfstream Aerospace.

The Gulf Stream was first introduced in 1999 as the IAI Galaxy before Gulfstream acquired the program and renamed it the G200 in 2001.

Production of the G200 lasted from 1999 to 2011, with a total of 250 units built.

Current listings indicate that prices for a Gulfstream G200 typically range from approximately $2.7 million to $6 million.
