VOLTA REGIONAL MINISTER SUPPORTS PARA SPORTS TEAM WITH GH₵5,000
The Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, has once again demonstrated his unwavering commitment to inclusive development and sports promotion in the region by donating GH₵5,000 to support the Volta Para Sports Team.
The Minister made the contribution after seeing a public call for support towards the team’s preparations for their upcoming competition. His gesture reflects his longstanding dedication to empowering all groups, particularly persons living with disabilities, and ensuring they are given equal opportunities to excel.
The support will significantly assist Team Volta as they prepare to participate in the upcoming National Para Sports Competition scheduled for 20–24 December 2025 at the Damongo Sports Complex, organised by the Ghana Society of the Physically Disabled (GSPD) National Sports Wing. The donation will help cover essential expenses including accommodation and meals for the athletes.
The Volta Para Sports Association and the entire athlete body have expressed profound gratitude to Hon. James Gunu for his benevolence and continuous advocacy for inclusive sports development.
The VRCC commends the Minister’s exemplary leadership and his commitment to uplifting all sections of society, especially persons with disabilities. His consistent support continues to inspire confidence and foster unity across the region.
