Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang is poised to represent Ghana at the 7th European Union-African Union (EU-AU) Summit in Luanda, Angola, scheduled for November 24-25, 2025.
In her address, she will reaffirm Ghana’s steadfast commitment to fostering equitable and forward-thinking partnerships between Africa and Europe, anchored in mutual respect, shared prosperity, and strategic cooperation.
Professor Opoku-Agyemang will also champion a more inclusive and representative multilateral system of global governance. As she addresses a distinguished gathering of Heads of State, AU and EU leaders, and key international stakeholders, she will elucidate Ghana’s core priorities, encompassing economic stabilization, job creation, food security, climate action, peace and security, and value-chain transformation, with a particular focus on agriculture and cocoa.
The Vice-President’s participation at the Summit underscores Ghana’s unwavering dedication to constructive dialogue, strategic partnerships, and a unified African voice in addressing global challenges.
She will apprise the gathering of Ghana’s ongoing economic revitalization and structural reforms, including the government’s flagship 24-Hour Economy initiative and concerted efforts to enhance local value addition in cocoa, thereby reinforcing the nation’s commitment to sustainable development and prosperity.
