We needs a national development plan to poise the growth of the country – Lawyer Anane Gyinde.

A lawyer and a lecturer at the Ghana Institution of Management and Public Administration (opined faculty of law, Dr. Kwaku Anane Gyinde, has emphatically opined to the government to grasp the dogma of a National Development Plan.

He reiterated on a strong conviction that the implementation of a national development plan will be in the right direction to abate economic hardships and underdevelopment in the country, urging that the country can excel than other neighboring countries, therefore needs a proper plan to manage the affairs of the country’s system before exacerbation.

In a communiqué issued on Tain FM Anopa Nkommo show with Appiah Kubi, the law lecturer propagated that long-term development plan to steer the country along the path of sustainable progress is long overdue, added consistently and a clear evocation for Ghanaians to inhibit the use of political agendas by politicians on the misfortunes of the country.

The dexterous lawyer in his address said, his findings and observations recommend that the country needs to include an entrenched provision for a sustainable development for Ghana.

“The national development plan should be and bind in nature and enforceable at the instance of any political party or institution”, he stated.

While acknowledging the positive achievements chalked up by successive governments in the provision of infrastructure development, Dr. Gyinde outlined foes of challenges to the development of the nation, amongst them include: youth unemployment, bribery, corruption, greed, selfishness, lack of patriotism, poverty, weak and ineffective institutions of governance, abandoned and unfinished government projects, the culture of impunity, etc.

The adept lecturer pointed out, “This worrying state of our nation calls for some fundamental changes in our governance system with regard to strategic and well-structured development plans by all governments.”

He therefore rallied Ghanaians, irrespective of political persuasion, to clasp in hands to formulate a long-term national development plans as a step to turn around the fortune of the country.

He however maintained that in governance issues, the country had not fared well over the years, particularly as it feeds on importations.
