Outspoken media personality Mr. Logic has charged the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to be accountable to Ghanaians with the newly passed Electronic Transaction Levy, E-Levy.
Ghanaians have criticised government following the passage of the controversial levy which will tax individuals’ mobile money transactions.
Speaking on the matter recently in an interview, Mr. Logic charged Ghanaians to vote out the ruling party, NPP if they fail to account proceeds to be accrued from the E Levy.
He reminded citizens of their power to oust political parties if they fail to fulfill promises they make during campaign periods.
“Since the NPP said they will be accountable for the E-levy, let’s wait and see. If they fail to be accountable, we will vote them out,” he told the host of United Showbiz show, Efia Odo.
Mr. Logic who has openly declared his acceptance of the E Levy stated that it is a step in the right direction since the world is going cashless.
“Let’s start being very responsible and stop complaining about the levy,” he said.
