Who is the grandmother of corruption? – Owusu Bempah controversial question to Ghanaians
A specific topical issue on which most Ghanaians base their tendency to vote is corruption.
Therefore, whenever either NPP or the NDC want to overthrow the other power, in particular, they beat the drum of corruption to make the ruling party unpopular in the eyes of the Ghanaian voter..
The NPP prior to the 2016 elections, the then opposition NPP based most of their campaign messages on corrupt practices in government at that time under Mahama namely; the Woyome scandal, GEEDA, SADA among others.
And it was able to affect the voting pattern that year since then the first time in the country’s political history, a sitting president lost in such a humiliating manner.
Inlike manner the opposition NDC led by former president Mahama has also acquired the same strategy as they are hammering relentlessly on the corrupt practices in this Akufo Addo government.
On his thanksgiving tour, former President Mahama urged the people of Ghana not to give the NPP another four more years, because they’re just going to get rich out of their corrupt practices.
He then vowed to arrest any government official in this Akufo Addo government who has in one way or the order involved him or herself in any corrupt act.
This particular threat from Mahama to the NPP appointees has therefore pushed Mr Ernest owusu Bempah, the communication director of Ghana Gas to throw an open debate to Ghanaians on who is more corrupt between the past Mahama administration and this current Akufo Addo government.
Who is the grandmother of corruption?
Speaking on “Net 2 TV’s the seat” program hosted by Kwaku Annan, owusu Bempah openly posted the list of corrupt practices that occurred in the Mahama administration.
He revealed Mahama has no moral rights to tag anybody in this country as corrupt.
“Aside your numerous corruption scandals, you are the only president not even in Ghana alone, but in Africa whose corrupt case has been boldly written at the front-page of the British popular newspaper, the British crown all in the name of the 5 million dollars Airbus scandal.
I’m not going to waste my time on SADA, GEEDA, ISOFOTON, Komenda sugar factory, the outrageous Circle interchange.
Let Ghanaians decide, between you and Akufo Addo, who is the grandfather of corruption?” He asked
