Today’s bite on Johnnie’s show, Johnnie’s bite, was full of desolation as Johnnie Hughes lambasted and boldly questioned the President about a promise he made several days before he assumed power.
In his regrets, Johnnie Hughes questioned the President. Some of his bold questions includes the President’s promise of constructing railway lines from the Western Region to Paga, paying of student’s rent, stabilizing fuel prices, curbing profligate spending and so on.
According to him, he keeps on hearing the same lofty promises the President makes.
Undoubtedly, Johnnie lambasted the President and emphatically said, “the President once told us that Ghana is a net exporter of food but our record tells us that we import nearly everything into the country.
How is it that the net exporter of food does not have food or has food but expensive? Now, a tuber of Yam is twenty cedis, a ball of kenkey now is three cedis, common egg and pepper is two cedis, how?”
As maintained by him, our pockets are broadcasting to us every single day what the state of the nations address is so it is not what the President says in parliament or what his party members say on media houses or party review discussions.
In conclusion, Johnnie Hughes reiterated the President’s promise and said, “you told us to give you a chance to serve us differently but you have proven to us that you are incompetent because somebody was doing it differently and you even termed it as incompetent Mahama; we all supported you and so what is happening now?”
