Why is Akufo Addo telling us about current mining activities of Akonta Mining. So Akonta Mining is now not engaged in unauthorised mining in forest reserves, so what? Does the president’s statement suggest that Akonta Mining Ltd. previously carried out activities in that forest reserve that has now stopped? The president’s spokespersons are on the rounds telling us that the president never said Akonta Mining had not been in that forbidding forest previously. Why is the president informing us about the present mining status of Akonta Mining. Has he become the official spokesperson for Akonta Mining?
In Ghana today, the npp party has apparently ordered the Bibiani-Anwiaso-Bekwai MP to call off his press conference and have invited him to party HQ. He had previously made comments and expressed concerns about some unsatisfactory developments in his own constituency. For that, he has to shut up and report to the HQ. Reminiscent of the Cuop d’etat days.
Again, we had many, many npp MPs worried about Ken Ofori Atta. They were concerned and, in most cases, disapproved of the non-performance of Ken Ofori Atta. They, too, were summoned to the Flagstaff House. Whatever was said to them, whatever was exchanged for quietness, today, Ken Ofori Atta, instead of being shown the exit door, rather he now has double appointment, double responsibility which brings double opportunity for what he does best, to quote biblical lines. Amen!
You see, I will say it. Akufo Addo is behaving like a gangster, leading a gangster regime in a land transformed from Gold Coast to Ghana and now to Gangsters Paradise.
